A Friendly Welcome from our Family
A peaceful place to rest awhile on a small working family-run farm
Our award-winning campsite was established in 1974 by Peter Field and is now owned and run by his three daughters, Linda Preece, Judy Skitt and Helen Reeves, and their families.
Having already developed a successful working farm, the idea for a caravan and camping park came about after a family camping holiday. With plenty of space on the farm and an idyllic setting, Peter could see the potential for a park amidst the tranquil, surrounding countryside.
Soon visitors asked to see the farm animals and so we opened our farm walk. Over the years we have introduced more animals. You’ll find ponies, donkeys, chickens, peacocks and ducks, along with piglets and lambs at certain times of the year. Our park also now features a well-stocked and secluded fishing lake which can be used by visitors.
Ongoing improvements to enhance our facilities has earned us the prestigious ‘Top 100 Sites – South East Winner’ by Practical Caravan in 2010, and the Park has been continuously listed among the ‘Top 100 Sites’ since. We’re also proud of our 4 Star rating by Enjoy England.
You can find all the essentials you need in our refurbished campsite shop and reception and, although it’s all about escaping, many of our guests find our free WiFi throughout the main park a real bonus.
Alongside our main park, we also offer a further camping field where we welcome larger groups and organisations, such as school classes, colleges, cycling and rambling groups, DoE Award students, and so on.
Whilst we have made some changes over the years, we’ve remained true to our father’s original vision of offering relaxing and enriching breaks amidst our beautiful Sussex countryside.
We hope we can welcome you to Fairfields Farm soon.
From Linda, Judy, Helen and all the family
